Any pharma product usually has three names. Chemical name is the scientific name based on the chemical structure and molecular formula. Brand name is the patent which was applied by the pharma company when it first created the drug. The patent has validity. Once the validity expires, other pharma companies can manufacture the same drug and sell the same. This is called Generic name.  The core composition of active ingredients must be same.
