Business logic is also an important parameter to be known by a Qlik consultant to decide data architecture for Qlik. Knowledge of business logic helps to decide which logic should be applied at what level.

Qlik Sense provides a feature of ETL (extraction load and transform), which helps to create a data warehouse with transformed data, which can be used for various analysis. Qlik also provides a way by which the transformation can be done at frontend, but as a best practice, all static transformation should be done at backend to provide better performance.

For example, it is better to do reporting against data which is aggregated at the month level whereas the base transnational data may be at the day level. Hence it is good to aggregate the data at the warehouse level or at the data modelling level, which will decrease the number of records and less data is moved to the RAM, which finally helps in improving the performance of the application.
