Qlik Sense Repository database is an important part of Qlik Sense installation. It is responsible for storing most of the Qlik Sense configurations. It stores user information, proxy information, and many more things.

Thus, it becomes important to take backup of this database, to make sure that when we restore the Qlik Sense, it works properly with all the old settings.

Qlik Sense uses the PostgreSQL database to store the configurations, so when planning a backup of this database, you should run some specific steps to take the database dump and store it as backup.

Implementations may have either a single node architecture or a multi node architecture. Irrespective of whichever persistence method used either synchronized persistence or shared persistence, you must take a backup of the repository database of the central node.
