In an ideal world, as business analysts, we would like to implement all the requirements so that we can delight all our stakeholders. However, this is not feasible and doesn’t always make sense financially or operationally. It is therefore important to plan what the approach around prioritizing requirements on the project will be. 

Common aspects to consider when planning a prioritization approach are the cost, risk, and value to the business. As part of the activity of planning the prioritization approach, you should also consider the stakeholders who will be part of the prioritization as well as decide on which techniques you will use during the prioritization activities.
