The final core concept refers to how the context or circumstances of a change has a direct impact on how we approach elicitation and collaboration-related business analysis activities. It is therefore very important to have an understanding and awareness of the context you are eliciting requirements from.

Let's look at an example to bring this concept of context into the real world: 

The context described in the previous example of the two finance teams coming together suggests that there will be a lot of general ledger-related information and procedures already in existence within each team. This suggests that you may be able to approach the requirements elicitation and collaboration activities from a requirements validation perspective (using the pre-existing information) rather than running elicitation workshops based on there being no existing information to reference. 

In this example, the context provides some direction to you as a business analyst in terms of how to plan and execute the elicitation and collaboration activities.
