Solution

This core concept refers to how requirements are traced to solution components to ensure that the solution satisfies the need.

Let's look at an example to bring this concept into the real world:

You have created a traceability matrix that contains all the approved requirements as well as any changes that have been made to the requirements. As the project progresses into the implementation stage, you are now in a position to trace each requirement to the specific solution component that is being implemented to meet the need.

In the example of the requirement for a customer to request the electricity supply charge review using the online portal, you can trace the relevant requirements directly to the solution artifacts that describe the online web pages' design and build components that solve for the electricity supply charge review process.

This example illustrates how the core concept of the solution is implemented during Requirements Life Cycle Management with the focus on maintaining, tracing, and prioritizing requirements to meet the business need.
