Core competency 3: Teamwork

Teamwork is about a business analyst's ability to work effectively within a team, which includes directing team members as well as wider stakeholders involved within an initiative. A business analyst's ability to foster strong relationships and work well in a team is critical to the success of any initiative and, ultimately, the success of the enterprise as a whole. 

A part of this competency is for the business analyst to understand the team structure as well as the team dynamics and their specific role in the team. It is important for the business analyst to flow with the team in a flexible and adaptable way by changing their attitude, being flexible, and embracing new challenges as the team progresses through different project stages.
